COSPE
COSPE was founded in Florence in 1983 with the objective of helping to overcome conditions of poverty and social injustice throughout the world. Following initial acts of co-operation in several African and Latin American countries, COSPE is currently committed to the implementation of more than 200 projects in around 40 countries worldwide: Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Mediterranian countries, Balkans, promoting sustainable development, human rights, participatory processes, in direct cooperation with farmers and artisans associations, environmental organisations, political and governmental institutions and movements for human rights.
In Italy and Europe Cospe operates on educational programmes dealing with antiracism, development, interculturalism and the defence of basic rights. It organises intercultural services in schools, activities to ensure that citizens from ethnic minorities enjoy equal opportunities in education and employment and access to services and information. CIVIL RADIO
At the initiative of four founders (Association of Community Developers, Open Learning Association, Hungarian Institute of Social Workers and Lágymányos Public House) the Foundation for Civil Radio was established in Budapest in 1994 with the purpose to introduce and support non-profit radio broadcasting and community radios in Hungary. Their objectives also included setting up a local community radio station in Budapest.
Civil Radio was established and test broadcasts started in 1994, but it took them a year to install all technical equipment and train their volunteers to start their 24 hour broadcast from September 1, 1995. Currently, Civil Radio broadcasts every week from Wednesday 6.30 AM to Sunday 6.30 AM on the 98.0 FM frequency. It is a shared frequency with another non-profit radio, the Fiksz Rádió.
About 160 volunteer programmers and technicians present more than 135 programs that go onto the air in two week cycles. Those who would like to join Civil Radio have the opportunity to participate in training sessions within the radio but also they can attend the training offered by the Hungarian Federation of Free Radios or Independent Media Centre.
Civil Radio is financially independent. Resources of its operation are: mostly grants that the radio applies for or gets through bids, most recently some EU funds. But mostly Civil Radio relies on the work of volunteers. In general Civil Radio programmes do not allow for commercial sponsorship, there is no commercial advertising, but mostly cultural or charity announcement.
Civil Radio is unique in its effort to give forum to the third sector, i.e. representatives or members of the civil societies, NGO-s and community initiatives. Presenters of the radio cover issues of community interests including but not limited to questions of social justice, disadvantaged and disabled people, environment, consumer protection, ethnic groups, cultural events, holidays, traditions, art exhibitions, concerts, performing art etc. Civil Radio also tries to involve its listeners in making radio programmes. Editors frequently invite guests and in that way the radio encourages civil society to promote and publicize their activity. Civil Radio avoids discussing nationwide or party political issues and concentrates on local news, problems, events at the district and neighbourhood level.
Talking about the music scene Civil Radio does not change its musical profile following short term popular musical trends or play musical clichés, top hits from the pop charts, rather offers a special blend of musical genres, that – sorry to say – can be rarely heard on other radios. For example: jazz, progressive rock, blues, new age, ethno, folk, world and classical music. Some of our hosts invite Hungarian musicians or bands to give a review of the recently issued album/CD or even to play live in the studio.

AMIS
AMIS is a web based radio agency for many radios in Italy and Europe, providing content and journalistic productions in 'ready to
broadcast' audio formats.Born in 1998, the agency is currently producing a series of daily audio news and several weekly programs to support the broadcasting schedule of local and community radios. The editorial line is not necessarily connected to breaking news, but it is instead oriented to the comprehension of what is behind the facts.
AMISnet is also a mobile radio: since it was born, the agency has always tried to follow events and venues, even distant ones, with a journalistc attitude through mobile uplinks providing real time editorial content.Since 2004 we have launched a technical cooperation sector: thanks to deals signed with different companies producing hi and low fi material, worldwide radios have access to a wide gamma of radio material (transmitters, exciters, mixing desks, telephone hybrids..) at "community" prices.
In Partnership with different organisations AMISnet is often active in campaigns and project to highlight social issues.
